Citing the Glossary

• APA Style:
International AI in Medicine Education Working Group. (Year). AI and Medicine Glossary. [URL]

• If citing a specific term from the glossary, please include the term name (e.g., reinforcement learning) and retrieval date (if applicable). Example:  
International AI in Medicine Education Working Group. "Reinforcement Learning." Living Glossary for AI and Medicine, Year, [URL]. Accessed [Date].


Contribute to the Glossary

You can contribute to the Glossary by suggesting a new AI medical term or revising an existing definition.

Use the form below and fill out as many fields as you’re able. All submissions will be reviewed by the International AI in Medicine Education Working Group. If we have any questions or concerns, we’ll contact you. Thank you so much for contributing your time and expertise to this important global resource!  

Create an account

Step 1: Create an account on the AI Learning Hub

You'll need an email and password.

RESOURCES > Glossary

Step 2: Use the "Resources" drop-down menu and select "Glossary"

Once the Glossary is selected, you can enter an AI term into the search bar to get its definition.

Step 3: Click "Suggest A Term" to recommend a new term or revise an existing one

This is where you can suggest terms or edits to update the Glossary.

Step 4: Define the new term or suggest a revision

• In the "Term" field, enter the new term you'd like to submit or the existing one you’d like to revise.
• In the "Description" field, define the new term or suggest revising an existing one. Provide any other information that might be helpful for the Glossary reviewers.
• Fill in the optional fields in the webform.
• Click the "Request Term" button.
