Applications now open for 2026 T-CAIREM Summer Research Program

Call for Student Researchers

The 2026 T-CAIREM Summer Research Program provides 30 students across Canada with paid opportunities to spend 10 weeks working with AI health experts from partners in the T-CAIREM Network.
• We've posted a PDF of hiring supervisors that students can approach
• We've also posted an info session recording and FAQ to help interested students.

T-CAIREM is committed to funding the next generation of researchers in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medicine. Our annual summer program introduces students to undergraduate and professional programs, including medicine and AI health research. We hope it encourages trainees from universities across Canada to pursue careers that leverage AI to advance biomedical discovery, enhance clinical care, and improve health outcomes.

In 2026, 30 paid positions will be available for students. Students accepted into the program will carry out summer AI research projects under the supervision of a T-CAIREM member.

The application deadline is January 25, 2026 (Sunday) by 11:59pm ET. The application must be filled out jointly by the trainee and the supervisor.

Students will be required to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks between May 1, 2026 and August 31, 2026.
