Trevor McKee
PhD
Dr. McKee has an extensive background in the development of novel techniques for the quantitative analysis of microscopy and digital pathology data for over 20 years since his PhD at MIT. For the past 10 years he has led Computational Pathology efforts to develop and apply high throughput semi-automated image analysis workflows to the quantitative analysis of digital pathology data. Drawing on recent advances in computer vision to aide with cellular segmentation and classification, his team performs “tissue cytometry” to extract spatially localized biomarker information from tissue sections, whether single marker brightfield immunohistochemistry, or various multiplex immunostaining techniques (e.g. fluorescence, IMC, MIBI, CODEX, DESI-MS). As a biomedical engineer he can bridge between pathologists, biomedical scientists and technology providers to address and solve challenges of biomarker quantification in tissue sections.
