Tanya Brown

As Program Manager of The Virtual Brain (TVB) - an open source large-scale brain modeling platform
developed by an international consortium - leading project operations in a scientific, technical, management and business capacity have all been central to my role for the past 10 years. My diverse leadership experience has positioned me as an integral resource within TVB’s research framework. Additionally, I manage the operations of Dr. Randy McIntosh’s (project lead of TVB) neuroscience lab. With much of the work in the lab lending directly to the success and growth of TVB at large, I am able to support TVB’s portfolio through this ancillary oversight. 

My myriad of experiences has prepared and enabled me to launch two independent initiatives; one that advocates for ‘Science Management’ within research by hosting professional development workshops on this topic and the other, ‘BreakThrough’, leading a group that is devoted to supporting equity in research.
