I strive to make a tangible impact on how medicine and healthcare are practiced. I do this through developing and advocating for technological innovation, collaborating on cutting-edge research across the fields of computer science, genetics and oncology, and helping to optimize clinical workflows. I have a PhD from the LMP Department at Temerty Medicine, and Lean Six Sigma Certification from UofT SCS.

Currently, I work on software called PhenoTips, which is used by thousands of doctors, researchers, genetic counselors all over the world aimed at helping them diagnose and study patients with rare diseases and genetic disorders. T-CAIREM offers an environment of education and collaboration of like-minded peers who are dedicated to exploring the use of AI in medicine and research, which align with my personal and professional goals. I look towards a future where every decision about patient care will be based on the personalized genetics of individuals and families and not on the medical records, paper or electronic, that are siloed in any hospital’s filing cabinet or electronic systems. My current focus on technologies that make clinical data standardized, usable, sharable, interoperable and optimized for machine learning/AI approaches aligns with T-CAIREM’s mission as well.
