Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil (2002); completed medical residency programs in Clinical Medicine and Radiology at Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre (HCPA), Brazil, and cardiac and thoracic imaging fellowships at the University of Toronto (2008/09). Holds a PhD in Cardiology and Cardiovascular sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of UFRGS (2012). Radiologist-in-Chief of the Radiology Service of HCPA (2017-18). Adjunct Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine of UFRGS and the School of Medicine of PUCRS in the area of ​​Radiology (2017-2019); Currently, Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Toronto. Research interests include development of AI models to predict survival in patients with lung cancer and to predict outcomes in patients with community acquired penumonia.
