My training, interests and experience involve family medicine, public health (& related fields such environmental health, infectious diseases/pandemics, etc.)  and Space Health & Medicine.

I have developed, led and worked on research projects and publications (including in journals such as The Lancet Infectious Diseases, and The Lancet Planetary Health among others)

My projects include leading and/or working with teams and experts from various national and international organizations such as PHAC, NASA, Canadian Space Agency, European Space Agency, U.N., International Space University, etc.

My recent project involved leading around 100 participants, experts and learners from over 30 countries in a project exploring how Space can help mitigate and monitor the covid-19 pandemic and also help prepare for & prevent future pandemics.

My interest in Machine Learning and AI are related to my various interests (primary care and public health) but mainly pertains to space health and medicine and exploring the use of AI and Machine Learning for Astronauts, Space Medicine and Deep Space Missions.
