Amol Deshpande

My background is in chronic pain medicine with an interest in cannabis and QI. I'm fascinated by the poor response to pain interventions in aggregate and believe this has a lot to do with inter-individual variability--i.e. a 'data problem'. I'm not only interested in AI and chronic pain medicine but also in how it impacts healthcare in general. T-CAIREM appears to provide a supportive venue to discuss potential collaborative projects. As a long time clinician (>20years) with a strong interest in technology, I am keen to see how these endeavours not only remain in the research field but are deployed in the real world to improve patient care. With a business background and working with startups in the past, I believe the health system itself could launch amazingly innovative projects to improve medicine.
