About the keynote speaker
Vinyas Harish is a graduating MD/PhD student at the University of Toronto. Adamant that he was into AI ‘before it was cool’, he studied computer science at Queen’s before returning home for Grades 16-24. Along the way, he has explored how AI can help make surgeries more successful, hospitals run more smoothly, and public health officials tackle big global health challenges. During his time in the MD/PhD program, Vinny has played a large role in building communities where students can explore their own ideas at the intersection of AI and medicine—both in Toronto and across Canada. He’s excited to continue this work as he starts his next adventure: training in anesthesiology at U of T, where split-second decision-making, cutting-edge tech, and teamwork all come together. Outside the lab and hospital, Vinny enjoys keeping active, planning his next vacation, and enjoying Toronto's unreal food scene. Vinyas will speak at the Bootcamp on Friday, March 14!
Students will receive a Certificate of Completion for attending the 2025 Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Medicine High School March Break Bootcamp
