Bootcamp Overview
Applications are now open for students in grades 10 to 12 to join T-CAIREM's Healthcare of the Future Bootcamp: Introducing AI to Tomorrow's Doctors, Nurses, and Coders!
Learn how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing healthcare and get some hands-on training in this exciting new field from University of Toronto medical students.
The Bootcamp consists of interactive virtual (Zoom) workshops 9 AM – 11 AM and dedicated group work 11 AM – 12 PM, Monday to Thursday with final in-person presentations on Friday at the University of Toronto's downtown campus.
BOOTCAMP DATES: March 10, 2025 (Mon.) to March 14, 2025 (Fri.) FORMAT: Online for four days and in-person on the final day COST: $50 (payable on acceptance into the program) PREREQUISITES: Although coding skills aren't necessary, they can be a valuable asset.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:January 6, 2025 at 5pm ET. (Capacity is limited, so apply early to avoid disappointment!)

Meet the Mentors
Anglin Dent
T-CAIREM Education Affiliate & MD/PhD student, Temerty Faculty of Medicine
Anglin Dent is a long-time (read: forever) student at the University of Toronto. Currently, she is studying to become a future physician and AI researcher through the MD/PhD program. As a T-CAIREM Education Affiliate, Anglin develops and delivers informational sessions to show current and future medical practitioners how they can use AI to improve healthcare. Outside of school, Anglin loves to play recreational hockey and hunt for Toronto's best restaurants!
Gemma Postill, BMScH T-CAIREM Education Trainee Co-Lead & MD/PhD student, Temerty Faculty of Medicine
Gemma Postill leads the educational programming at T-CAIREM alongside her student co-lead Abhishek. Gemma is in the MD/PhD program at the University of Toronto. With her research, Gemma seeks to create and implement artificial intelligence solutions to improve patients' healthcare outcomes. When not working, Gemma can be found cycling, baking, reading, or travelling!
Students will receive a Certificate of Completion for attending the 2025 Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Medicine High School March Break Bootcamp.
