I am currently an Affiliate Scientist at the KITE Toronto Rehabilitation Institute-University Health Network, Canada’s top rehabilitation research-teaching hospital, and an Assistant Professor (Status) in the Department of Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. My research program,  teaching, and mentorship is dedicated to the comprehensive investigation of the biological, behavioral, and environmental factors that impact neurological disorders, specifically sleep disorders, traumatic brain injury, and dementia. By leveraging machine learning, big data, and human knowledge, I expect that it will be possible to study peoples’ health and harmful exposures in real-time, and with that advance the fields of both, rehabilitation medicine, and surveillance of complex disorders and injuries simultaneously.
