I am Shumit Saha, a Post-Doctoral Fellow at eHealth Innovation, University Health Network (UHN), and the University of Toronto, working with Drs. Joseph Cafazzo and Heather Ross. Previously, I received my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto, where I was advised by Dr. Azadeh Yadollahi in SleepdB Lab at KITE-Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, UHN. My research interests lie in Technology Development for Healthcare applications which includes Wearable Device & Mobile Application Development, Acoustic Signal Processing, and Machine Learning.

In order to diagnose, treat and predict heart failure and sleep-related disorders, I have been developing several algorithms utilizing advanced signal processing, machine, and deep learning techniques. I have profound expertise in working on various datasets including speech, snoring, and breathing sounds, accelerometer, nasal airflow, oxygen saturation, ECG, and EEG.
