Ready to make an impact on the world, Michael is an avid learner who seeks to bridge the gap between various disciplines of study and pave the way for a brighter future with unshakable optimism and unrelenting determination. Michael is a medical student at the University of Toronto with a background in Health Science and Computer Science.

His recent AI research involves the development of deep learning models to perform action identification in cataract surgery with automated quality assessment. He has also implemented models to classify intracranial hemorrhage from CT scans, characterize the microenvironment of brain tumors from genomic data, and establish optimized surgical timings using large-scale population health data. When he isn't actively conducting research, Michael is learning new skills, devising moonshot projects, and building meaningful connections and collaborations through the T-CAIREM network.
