I am a postdoctoral fellow at UHN under the supervision of Dr. Babak Taati and Dr. Yana Yunusova. My general interest is intersecting novel technologies and machine learning/AI to understand diseases of the nervous system. Presently, my research focuses on the application of deep learning to the quantification of facial movements in individuals with neurological disease and motor speech disorders. The objective of this work is to develop novel, objective, assessment tools that quantify orofacial motor dysfunction. My doctoral research was on the use of objective upper limb robotic assessment to quantify deficits in individuals with various neurological diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, and epilepsy.
