Dr Lawrence (Larry) White is a Professor in the Department of Medical Imaging and Orthopedic Surgery, and Head of Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of Toronto. He completed his medical training and residency in Medical Imaging in Toronto, and spent subsequent time in fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of California San Diego, and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Over the course of his career, he has been privileged to receive academic awards and honors in the domains of mentorship, teaching, and research, including the Corrine Farrell Award, and President’s Medal of the International Skeletal Society. Academically, Dr White’s research and clinical interests have been primarily related to MR imaging of sports injuries, sarcoma, and advanced MR imaging techniques. In these fields, he has had the pleasure of working with strong multidisciplinary clinical translational research teams, with a successful history of grant funding support, and peer-reviewed scientific publication. Dr White has held numerous leadership positions, including Radiologist-in-Chief of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto. He currently is the President of the Society of Skeletal Radiology and Immediate past-president of the International Skeletal Society.
