Andrew works full-time as a Research Associate at Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity. He primarily works with the NOSM University Research Toward Health Hub (NORTHH) - a practice-based research network for primary health care providers. Andrew is passionate about using artificial intelligence to benefit the people of Northern Ontario. As a member of the AI-North leadership team, he helps healthcare professionals improve their capacities and opportunities, and works to educate the next generation of medical professionals. He recently graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master's of Information with a double concentration in Human-Centered Data Science and Information Systems & Design, and previously received his Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Lakehead University with a concentration in Management Information Systems. He is very interested in the ethical implications of data and how we can better serve our community by analyzing data with all of the user groups that may be affected by our decision making. When Andrew isn’t working, he enjoys playing various sports such as hockey, soccer, basketball and snowboarding in the winter in Thunder Bay.
